Who we are

Since 2018, our team has helped thousands of American, Canadian, British, and Australian men understand online dating better and found a girlfriend/wife from another country. Our team consists of dating and relationship experts, people with extensive experience on online dating apps, journalists who know how to find the truth, and psychologists who know everything about international relationship problems.

Our team is focused on interviewing women from various countries (“mail order bride” countries mostly). We interviewed dozens of mail order brides from Ukraine, Russia, the Philippines, Colombia, and other countries – we asked them a lot of questions about their story, their relationship goals, and their experience. We’re doing it to help Western men understand Latin, Slavic, and Asian women better – because no expert knows these ladies better than themselves. 

After reading our interviews and guides, you’ll be able to understand what women from different countries think about Americans, how to date these women, and how to solve the most common relationship problems.

We are a team of experts with 50 years of combined experience in online and international dating. Each expert is focused on their specialty—Michael Krakowski, for instance, knows everything about how to choose a good Polish or Ukrainian dating website, and Samuel is an experienced journalist focused on Asian countries.

Our main goal is to show people the best dating websites so they don’t have to make mistakes, lose money, and be disappointed. We spend a lot of time doing reviews and writing guides, but we understand that with an experience like ours, not sharing this information would be a crime!

We always write fair reviews when it comes to dating sites: if a website performs poorly, we will not sugarcoat the problems. However, only the best of the best websites make it to our top lists, so you won’t find low-quality dating platforms on ISW.

Meet our team

Our team consists of writers, editors, and experts. There are 7 experts in the Inspirational Women Series team – Oliver, Samuel, and Michael. Each of them is responsible for a certain region and for certain types of guides and reviews.

John Millerstone – Lead Writer and Head of IWS Content Team

John is an international dating expert who’s been working with our team since 2019. His expertise in this sphere is beyond compare.

John started researching international dating sites and mobile apps more than 10 years ago — he was doing it for private purposes until 2015 when he started working as an international dating expert.

He has used every free and paid Asian, Latin, and Slavic dating site ever existed, he knows everything about dating platforms, and he can understand if the site is worth the money by just throwing a glance at a screen.

His studies are much deeper and detailed, of course. John analyzes every factor when it comes to dating websites — from customer support to mobile-friendliness of the site.

Nelly Perry – Contributing Writer and Subject Matter Expert

Nelly is our experienced writer who clearly understands how international dating works.

She has been using international dating apps for more than 3 years, and she has dating profiles on all the most popular services that exist in 2023.

Nelly understands how to analyze information, how to test the websites, and how to find out what an average user of a dating website wants.

As a certified writer with a master’s degree in Writing and English Literature, Nelly has solid knowledge about delivering useful information to our readers.

Michael Krakowski – Writer and Content Strategist

Michael Krakowski, a 29 year old journalist of Polish origin. Michael has been using online dating apps for more than 5 years, but his main strength is that he knows literally everything about Slavic women.

He knows how to date them and what problems to expect in American-Slavic relationships, he understands what Slavic women like and what they don’t like, and he is certainly an expert at Eastern European dating.

Michael will tell you how to behave on your first date with a Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish woman; he’ll explain why it’s a good idea to pay for her on the date; and he’ll provide you with useful online dating tips.

Samuel Chavez – Writer and Content Strategist

Samuel Chavez is a 45 year old journalist from San Jose, California. Samuel graduated from San Jose State University in 1998 – he has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism.

During the last years, Samuel worked for Southern California Life Magazine, Los Angeles Times, and The San Diego Union-Tribune.

He is not a certified psychologist or a relationship expert, but he knows a lot about Asian-American dating – his ex wife was from Japan, and his second wife, Amihan, is from Quezon City (the Philippines).

As a professional journalist, Samuel knows how to get to the truth about any dating site.

Oliver Duncan – Writer and Content Strategist

Oliver Duncan (36 years old) is a dating and relationship expert from New York. Oliver has a Master’s degree in Psychology – he graduated from the New York University in 2009.

He knows everything about online dating and dating apps – his experience in this field is around 10 years. Oliver met his wife, Marianna, on one of these apps (she is from Colombia).

His senior thesis was concerned with the psychology of long-distance/international relationships – he knows how to date Latin women, how to solve relationship problems, and what issues/barriers to expect when dating a woman from South America.

Margarita Zhigalova – Contributing Editor and Content Strategist

Margarita is a 28-year-old mail order wife from Lviv, Ukraine.

She has been interested in American culture, American traditions, and American men since her 18th birthday, and in 2021, she got married to William, a 40-year-old college professor from Burlington.

She may not be the most experienced expert on the team, but she will show you the whole new side of international relationships—she’s a foreign wife herself, so she knows a lot about how to impress foreign ladies and what to expect from them.

With her guides, international dating will be like insider trading—easier and with a greater chance of success.

Philippe Berry – Contributing Editor and Travel Expert

Philippe Berry is a travel and relationship expert, but behind these dry words, there is an invaluable experience.

Philippe has visited 33 countries, and the list is going to expand because “once you have traveled, the voyage never ends,” as he says.

He is our new travel and international dating expert—his expertise in international relationships is even richer than traveling.

Philippe is going to tell you everything about how to visit your bride’s or girlfriend’s country and how to succeed on a date with foreign ladies: he knows how to impress them, he knows everything about foreign cultures, and he knows how to make travel enjoyable.

How to apply for an interview?

Our website is focused on interviews with women from foreign countries. If you’re a mail order bride, a woman who uses international dating services, or a foreign wife of an American citizen, you can contact us to get interviewed, too – we will highly appreciate this because that’s how you’ll help lots of Western men understand foreign women better. 

Here are the requirements for potential interviewees: 

• Your country doesn’t matter – it’s cool if you’re the resident of a popular “mail order bride” country like Ukraine, the Philippines, or Colombia, but we’ll gladly ask you some questions even if your country isn’t that popular regarding international dating 
• Your dating account should be relatively new – less than 1 year old 
• You must use a verified dating website with a good reputation (we don’t want to tell our readers about poor or scam dating websites, thank you for understanding) 
• You must be a real person, obviously – no fake profiles/fake interviews are tolerated here 
• It doesn’t matter if you’ve already found someone on a dating site or not – even if you haven’t, we still have a lot of questions to ask 
• Fluent English isn’t necessary – we have translators in out team, too, so we can interview even those who don’t speak English at all
• We can either make your profile public or hide it – if you choose to make it public, you should be ready to get a lot of messages from American, Canadian, Australian, and British men
